Chrissy Blake

I am the proud owner of Muttley Crew Dog Training and Behaviour, where I am dedicated to helping dogs and their families build calm, confident, and lasting relationships. My approach is always kind, ethical, and force-free, focusing on creating trust and understanding between people and their dogs.

My professional journey began in 2020 when I qualified through Absolute Dogs PDT, Geek and Genius. Since then, I have continued to advance my education and practice, completing Level 4 and Level 5 canine behaviour qualifications and now studying at Level 6 Clinical Animal Behaviour. 

Alongside my formal qualifications, I have undertaken a wide range of specialist courses with The Dog Training College, Canine Principles and BCCS, covering nutrition, reactivity and trauma, separation anxiety, and assistance dog training. These areas of study allow me to support dogs with complex behavioural needs while also preparing them for the unique role of therapy and assistance work.

I'm a proud member of NICE (National Institute for Canine Ethics) which reflects my commitment to working to the very best standards in dog training, behaviour and welfare. I have a big passion for working with dogs who struggle with reactivity and separation anxiety and helping them build resilience, confidence, and the skills they need to thrive in family life or therapy roles.

Through my work with Therapy Dog UK, I am honoured to guide and support dogs and their families as they embark on the rewarding journey of therapy dog work. 

Whether helping a nervous rescue find their confidence, preparing a companion to bring comfort in schools or care homes, or supporting families with assistance dog prospects, my goal is always the same: to nurture partnerships built on trust, compassion, and joy.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me with my own dogs — my daily inspiration and the heart of why I do what I do.
