Frankie Lees

Puppy School Plymouth

Frankie is an animal behaviourist and trainer working in the Plymouth area in Devon.


Before branching into animal behaviour Frankie originally trained as a veterinary nurse. Frankie is still a registered veterinary nurse with the RCVS, she also holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Animal Behaviour from Sparsholt College and the ISVPS Nurses Certificate in Animal Behaviour. She is also a Provisonal Clinical Animal Behaviourist Member of the APBC and is a certified Puppy School Tutor.


After having a baby in 2020 Frankie wrote and published her own children’s picture book called “Don’t Hug Dug!” which helps children to understand dog body language signals and when to give dogs space.

Frankie has been doing educational talks to children in schools and youth groups such as Brownies and Cubs groups on dog and child safety and is a Kids Around Dogs Approved Professional.

Aside from her 3 year old son keeping her very busy Frankie also has a menagerie of animals which she has collected over the years as a vet nurse including her Sprocker Spaniel called Ebony, her Bengal Cat called Aurora, her leopard gecko called Dobby and her tropical fish!
