Gary Pomroy

My name is Gary Pomroy and I have experience in training dogs for over 25 years. My journey has seen me work with dogs in various capacities and working with many different styles of training. I am an accredited trainer with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and use a force free reward based ethos at my training classes that I carry out in sunny Essex. My company ‘KarmaK9 Dog Training Essex’ was primarily set up to help people with their relationship with their pets in one to one and puppy training classes. My wife and I have owned dogs for over 25 years and we have learnt a lot from training them including a number of reactive dogs. Since starting we have branched in to working with anxious, nervous and aggressive dogs to help the owner understand why their dog is showing their behaviours. We also run workshops such as scent training, fun gun dog, loose lead and recall helping develop my clients' dogs into happy well rounded pets. 

I also mentor and train new dog trainers with their path to becoming dog trainers of the future. 

Some bits about me: 

I served in the British Army for 17 years then worked at British Aerospace on Spacecraft. 

Being very active I then joined British Transport Police where I served for 11 years.

OCN Level 3 Qualification in ‘Principles of Canine and Behaviour’.
