Hi, I’m Laura and I own ‘Leads and Wellies Dog Training’ based in Knutsford, Cheshire.

I worked for many years as a qualified human teacher, working a lot with children in alternative schools. One day I met a very special Therapy dog called Tilly, who consequently changed my career path forever! I was amazed by the change in the children following a session with Tilly and I was eager to learn more.

I am now a qualified Canine Behaviourist and Trainer, my courses include:

• PGCE of humans

• Level 4 Advanced Canine Behaviour Diploma – Distinction

• Over 20 IMDT and IMDTB courses including;

• Loose Lead walking, Happy Recallers, Exercises from Beginners to Advanced,

• Canine Adolescence, The Canine Brain and Impulse Control.

• K.A.D (Kids around dogs) Dogs in School Professional

• Puppy Culture (full course)

• 5 day Practical in Yorkshire – Advanced Behavioural Consultations.

  
  

I offer a number of different services both before and after your dog arrives home;

Helping you choose the right dog and breed for your family, Home visits, Puppy lessons, 1-1 lessons, Walking sessions, Adolescent work, Behavioural consultations and more. During these sessions we can address any training concerns or training needs you and your dog have.

Some of my best teachers along my journey have been my own dogs, who have helped and guided me as a trainer. My current retired Therapy dog, Herbie has been a great inspiration and a truth friend. I’m thrilled to be apart of Therapy Dog Training UK and I look forward to meeting and working with you.
